We bought our SunLouvre in 2020 after looking at various products on the market. Six years later, we can confirm we made the right choice. Our SunLouvre is as remarkable as on day one. The construction lives up to the investment. The team carried out the project with professionalism and the customer service is first-class.
Impeccable! We had a Sunlouvre installed at our country place 18 months ago and, since we were so pleased, we ordered a second one to replace the awning on our deck in the city.
Excellent Quebec-made product. The quality is there and it fully meets our expectations. The customer service is exemplary. The people really listen to our needs. I recommend this product without hesitation. !!!
The installation went very smoothly and we are very pleased with our pergola, which we can enjoy rain or shine. The aluminum is excellent quality. Nothing like all the cheap stuff you can find. It's an excellent investment!
A very nice experience. Excellent customer service from the moment we walked into the showroom until the end of the project. Quality product
Excellent quality product. Very kind and accommodating staff, they made the experience very pleasant. Professional installation, they left the place clean when they were done. The pergola is rainproof, yet very bright when the louvers are open. Solid, durable structure, little maintenance needed. I recommend without hesitation.

Frequently asked questions
Before you write to us, the questions we hear most.

Yes, SunLouvre Pergolas designs and manufactures solutions for both residential and commercial projects: private residences, restaurants, hotels, spas, condominiums, commercial terraces and common areas.
Custom work is at the heart of our approach, because every project comes with different constraints (dimensions, angles, height, type of ground or existing structure).
An assessment is always carried out to adjust key elements, such as the height or the integration with the existing surroundings. At SunLouvre Pergolas, our standard design is smart and adaptable, and custom work lets us optimize every installation, simple or complex, with the support of our technical team, including an engineer, to validate the project.
-
Yes, the roof of a SunLouvre Pergolas is 100% watertight against rain. The unique S-shaped design of the louvers lets them interlock perfectly when closed, without any seals or rubber parts. Watertightness comes solely from the shape of the louvers, which eliminates any risk of long-term leaks. No seals that dry out, crack or deteriorate over time. Rainwater is then collected and directed to the end of the louvers (Classic model) or into an integrated gutter (Integrated Louvers model). So you can enjoy your deck or patio with complete peace of mind, even during sudden downpours.
-
No, quite the opposite. Thanks to the unique design of our S-shaped louvers, a SunLouvre Pergolas lets in 82% of natural light when the louvers are open. That's a considerable advantage over the standard louvered pergolas on the market, which let in much less natural light. Your yard stays bright and welcoming, while you still get complete protection from rain and optimal control over sunlight when the louvers are adjusted or closed.
-
Virtually no maintenance is required. Our high-quality aluminum pergolas (6005-T5 alloy) don't rust, don't warp and need no special treatment. A simple periodic wash with clean water and mild soap is enough to keep the structure and mechanisms clean. That's one of the great advantages of aluminum over wood, which requires regular upkeep (staining, treating, sanding).
-
Absolutely. A well-designed bioclimatic pergola is considered an investment that enhances both the look and the value of your property. It creates a functional, elegant outdoor living space that is highly sought after by potential buyers. What's more, a SunLouvre Pergolas is a durable product, backed by a limited lifetime warranty and made from high-quality aluminum, which makes it a permanent, value-adding addition to your home.
-
A SunLouvre Pergolas doesn't need to be taken down in the fall or put back up in the spring. It stays in place all year round. Before the first snow or the first frost, simply lock the roof louvers in the open position for the whole winter season. This prevents any snow from building up on the louvers. In the spring, once the risk of snow and frost has passed, you simply unlock the louvers and enjoy your pergola again.
-
Yes, it's entirely possible. The adjustable louver roof of the Classic model is designed to adapt to certain existing structures (covered patio, deck with posts, etc.). The pergola can also be attached directly to the wall of your home, on most types of siding. It is then securely anchored to the building's frame using components specially designed by SunLouvre Pergolas. Every project is assessed by our technical team.
-
Requirements vary by municipality. In most cases, a pergola requires a declaration or a building permit, especially if it is attached to the building or exceeds a certain area. We recommend checking with your city's urban planning department before starting your project. Your authorized SunLouvre Pergolas dealer can also guide you through the process to make things easier.
